Law on the reform of the Ukrainian gas transportation system to come into force on September, 10th

The law on the reform of the Ukrainian gas transportation system (GTS) will come into force on September 10th, as today it was published in the official edition of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukraine Golos Ukrainy.
According to the document, the gas transportation system and underground gas storages remain in state ownership, but they can be transmitted to the management of specially created companies. The Ukrainian state will receive a controlling interest in these management companies, and the remaining shares may be acquired by European and American companies.
