The China Syndrome: more oil and gas from Russia.

Russia's actions in the current tense political situation – and the West considers the possible retaliatory energy sanctions from Russia its worst scenario – are closely observed by Turkey, that fears the stopping of the Russian gas flow. "Russia seeks to strengthen its economic ties with China, especially in the energy sector due to Western sanctions over the Ukraine, but this strategy can be very risky", - Daily Sabah, the Turkish edition, informs.

Europe is now redoubling its efforts to reduce its dependence on Russian energy. Russia moves the vector of its supplies from the European to the Asian destinations – in the middle of August the Wall Street Journal published the data that since the beginning of the year 30% of Russia's oil exports went to Asia, which is a record.
