Makeevugol to plan to launch three new long faces

From the beginning of the next year, Makeevugol (the Donetsk region) plans to launch new long faces and increase coal production, the enterprise’s General Director Mikhail Nichipor stated at the press conference in Makeevka today, on August 9.

According to him, the 4th long face at the Kholodnaya balka mine is being mounted and it managed to improve the quality of produced coal with the today surplus of coal. “We switch over to new technique at the Kholodnaya balka. We will be able to improve coal quality with the launch of the new facility and also receive an economic effect. Earlier the yield was 40% and now the production of finished commercial products is 55-57%. On the whole, the ash content of produced coal decreased by 9%,” – he told.
