South Stream Transport B. V. to start the construction of the first branch of South Stream in autumn 2014

South Stream Transport B. V., the operator of the sea part of the South Stream project, plans to start the construction of the first branch of the gas pipeline in the sea in the autumn 2014 when the welding of the pipeline’s parts will start at the Bulgarian port Burgas on the board of the vessel-pipe layer Castoro Sei. The company’s press service reports. In May 2014 the first pipes for the sea part of the South Stream were shipped to Burgas. In June 2014 the company “South Stream Transport” was issued the permission in Russia for the construction works at the Russian site of the landfall.
