Russia outperforms Saudi Arabia on oil supply to the world market

In 2015, Russia outperformed Saudi Arabia on oil supply to the world market. It became the largest exporter of oil. The share of the state in the global energy consumption made up 5.1%.

Last year, Russia exported 74.9% of oil and 33.7% of gas. It is the largest supplier of hydrocarbons to the European countries. Oil and gas consumption in the country decreased by 5.2% and 5% respectively.
