SOCAR will drill 10 horizontal wells at Western Absheron. The drilling contractor is SOCAR AQS where SOCAR holds 51%. Western Absheron, a project of Absheronneft oil and gas production department is located at shallow waters. It has small oil reserves. It’s one of the deposits SOCAR develops independently. They will drill wells to depths of up to 1,000 m from sea platform #20 at Western Absheron under the order of Azneft. They all will be built with horizontal bending in order to cover as much area of development as possible.
