Rosneft has started to drill a new well at the shelf of Vietnam

Rosneft Vietnam B.V. (in the structure of Rosneft) has start to drill an exploratory well PLDD-1X  at the 06.1 Block located at the shelf of Vietnam. Rosneft says it acts for the first time as the operator of the project in the economic zone of another country. Rosneft holds 35% at this subsoil site.

The deposits are located 370 km off the coast in the basin of Nam Kon Shon. The initial gas reserves make up about 68 bln cubic m there. In 2015 gas extracted at the 06.1 Block provided about 12% of energy needs of Vietnam. PLDD is a new independent structure located between the Lantay and Lando deposits.
