Russia’s additional revenue from the growth of excise duties for fuel to make up almost 90 bln roubles

In 2016 the additional revenue of the Russia’s budget from the growth of excise duties for fuel will make up 89.3 bln roubles.

According to the draft law, from April 1st the excise duties for Euro-5 gasoline will rise from 7.53 thousand to 10.13 thousand roubles/ton, for diesel fuel-from 4.15 thousand to 5.29 thousand roubles a ton, for gasoline below class 5 – from 10.5 thousand to 13.1 thousand roubles.

A week ago the head of the control department of the fuel and energy sector of FAS, D. Makhonin, said that the growth of excise duties will inevitably lead to the growth of gasoline price, however, the Minister of Finance, A. Siluanov, said that it has nothing to do with the reality as the oil prices in roubles are falling.

At the beginning of this week this draft law was approved at the meeting of the Government Committee. The document is planned to be approved at one of the coming meetings of the Government. The Kremlin is said to have advised the members of the Parliament to agree with the ideas of the Ministry of Finance despite of the promise of the President Putin not to change the tax burden in the coming 4 years.
