Investments in polyvinyl chloride processing in Russia: results of 2015

In 2015, investments in polyvinyl chloride processing capacities were reduced by 50% and amounted to $40 million. The greatest reduction of the investments fell on manufacturers of profiled-molded products, the annual survey "PVC in Russia - 2016" reports.

The peak of the investment in equipment for the polyvinyl chloride processing fell on 2008, after which the Russian companies’ investments were significantly reduced. According to the Market Report’s information, on the whole, last year, 142 sets of equipment for the processing of polyvinyl chloride were imported into Russia to the total amount of $40 million, while a year earlier 232 sets for $79.5 million were imported. The main decrease in the investments fell on profiled-molded products manufacturers - the largest segment of the polyvinyl chloride processing.
