Vladimir Putin: Russia not to wait for increase in oil price passively

Russia is not going to sit around and wait indefinitely and experience a period of low prices for hydrocarbons idle. On the contrary, there are extensive programs to support the real sector of he economy. This statement was made by Vladimir Putin in the interview with the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram.

According to the Russian leader, the state support also concern systemically important banks and employment assistance. Preferences for small and medium businesses are also provided. Although the drop in the oil prices affects the dynamics of growth of the domestic economy, such situation is not new for Russia.
