Rosneft and Gazprom Neft to renew the Arctic shelf development in 2017

​Rosneft and Gazprom Neft will renew the development of the Arctic shelf in 2017, now the companies go on working on the project documentation, the Governor of the Murmansk region, M. Kovtun, said.

The introduction of sectoral sanctions slightly slowed down the development of the Arctic oil and gas projects and didn’t allow to go on the planned forming of the infrastructure of bases for the development of the shelf deposits in the Kola Bay in 2015. However, Rosneft and Gazprom Neft plan to renew activity in this direction by 2017, she said.
