Gazprom and CNPC are about to sign an agreement by Power of Siberia

​At the meeting in China Gazprom and CNPC confirmed their intention to sign an agreement on the projection and construction of the trans-bordering site of Power of Siberia, including the underwater pas via the Amur river.

Today Gazprom headed by A. Miller visited China. A working meeting with the chairman of CNPC, V. Ilin, was held.

The process of works on the project of gas supply to China by the eastern route was discussed.

The head of Gazprom and the first deputy chairman of the State Council of China, Ch. Gaoli, discussed the issues connected with the 2-party cooperation in the energy sphere. In particular, the projects of pipeline gas supply to China by the eastern and western routes. The parties discussed an opportunity of the Russian gas supply from the Far East of Russia.

The participants also considered the perspectives of cooperation in the sphere of underground gas storage and electric energy generation, is reported.
