Donetsk has terminated coal shipment to the Ukraine

From September 2nd coal supplies from Donetsk to the Ukraine are terminated.

According to the Minister of Transport of Donetsk republic, S. Kuzmenko, the economic block from the part of Kiev has forced Donetsk to such a step. From July the Ukraine fully terminated diesel fuel shipment to the east. Spare parts for railway cars and locomotives have not been shipped to Donbass for over a year. Because of this only 32% of all diesel and electric locomotives are out of order.

In response we block coal supplies to the Ukraine. We have strict requirements. The situation in the Ukraine is crucial now, it needs 1 mln 200 thousand tons a month of our fuel which we will ship in case of the elimination of the block for fuel and spare parts for locomotives and railway cars and if they don’t shoot, Kuzmenko said.

He said that if the ban for oil and lubricants and spare parts is eliminated, Donetsk will need 2 months to fully recover its locomotives.
