The British Government intends to examine the asset swap transaction between the Russian gas holding company Gazprom and Wintershall Holding GmbH, a subsidiary of BASF. As the information source Natural Gas Europe transmits, the UK’s attention to this agreement is caused by the fact that Gazprom will have Wintershall’s exploration facilities in the North Sea.
"We will study the details of the deal, as it would it for any other contract, which includes assets in British waters," - said the British Government.
