Russia: Market experiences a shortage of petrol.

The fuel prices have gone up.

The wholesale prices for gasoline have accelerated up again. In early September the prices increased by 1.6-1.7% due to the reduction of fuel supplies to the domestic market. The oil producers did not fulfill the recommendations of the RF Ministry of Energy to increase the fuel supplies to 1.75 million tons, and independent gas stations have already begun to face the shortage of gasoline. According to "the Kommersant" FAS warned again about its readiness to start a new wave of the antitrust cases, but still another task is set before the service - to keep the increase in retail fuel prices not to increase inflation.

In the first week of September the wholesale gasoline prices began a new round of growth: the value of AI-92 at the SPIMEX exchange increased by 1.7% to 41.87 thousand roubles per 1 ton, the growth is already 4.6% since mid-August. The price of AI-95 is also growing, though not as fast - 1.6% and 3.6%, respectively. The rise in prices occurred in the context of repairs for some of the largest refineries in Russia and Belarus. The RF Ministry of Energy recommended that oil companies increase the availability of gasoline while the refineries were under repairs, bringing them to 1.75
