Arctic shelf development is a priority for Russia

The President of the Russian Federation V.Putin has congratulated the workers and veterans of oil and gas sector with their professional holiday and added that the development of the Arctic shelf is one of the most important tasks for the oil-and-gas sector to date. “To date, there are quite a few important tasks for the oil-and-gas sector of Russia. Among them are diversification of export flows, the development of new prospective deposits, the creation of modern clusters for processing and transportation of raw materials, large scale programmes of development of the Arctic shelf,the implementation of hi-tech equipment and up-to-date eco-standards,” is said in the text of the congratulations.
