Rosneft wantes procurement law suspended during sanctions

To be secure from the sanction, restricting the supplies of equipment for oil production to Russia, Rosneft suggests introducing a moratorium on an athe pplication of legislation “On procurement of goods, works and services by certain kinds of legal bodies” and to reduce or zero duties on imported equipment, Vedomosti writes.

A spokesman for Rosneft said about it at a special meeting in the Ministry of Energy on August 1st.

In late July, the EU and USA imposed another level sanctions on the export of equipment for deep-water drilling, oil production in the Arctic and shale oil production to Russia. At present it is necessary to obtain special preliminary approval of the European and American authorities to export the equipment to Russia.
