UC Rusal to replace Russian foil, exported to Europe, by Armenian one

UC Rusal can restructure its logistics and to supply to Europe foil from Armenian enterprise "Armenal" instead of products from enterprises "Ural foil" and "Sayana foil", which are the main Russian suppliers of foil in Europe. This was reported director of UC Rusal’s packaging business Sergei Goryachev.

According to him, the company will take such tactical manoeuvre if the EU introduces anti-dumping duties against UC Rusal. "Our deliveries in Europe made kup about 23-24 thousand tons per year with the total consumption in the volume of 800 thousand tons. The situation in the USA is symmetrical, "- said the manager. He also calculated that in the case of the introduction of the anti-dumping measures against the company, lost revenue of UC Rusal will be about $30 million.
