Russia: possible ban on the export of non-ferrous scrap metal

The Russian Government’s decree №539 dated June 3, 2015 amended the list of goods that are essential for the domestic market of the Russian Federation, for which time limits or ban exports can be set in extreme cases.

According to this document, among essential goods are scrap of aluminum, nickel, lead, zinc, tin, tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, magnesium, cobalt, cadmium, titanium, zirconium, antimony and others.
