“Surgutneftegas” to increase oil production in Novosibirsk region

OJSC “Surgutneftegas” will start producing hydrocarbons at the Zarechnoye area on the north of the Novosibirsk region in 2016. According to experts, the resources of the deposits make up 5 million tons. A.Nevolko, head of subsurface department in the Siberian Federal area is confident that the intensity of oil production in the region will increase.
According to him, the production growth is anticipated in 2016 when Surgutneftegas starts extraction at the areas with positive results of geological exploration. However, he has declined to give information on the preliminary conclusions of the geologists.
