This year coal production on Don planned to be decreased

In January-March of 2013, coal companies of the Rostov region produced 1 251.1 thousand tons of coal that is by 13.2% less than in the first quarter of the last year. On the whole this year coal-producing enterprises of Don plan to produce 5.47 million tons of coal that is by 2.9% less than in 2012.

According to the Minister of Industry and Energy of the region Evgeny Prusov, “Decrease of the coal production in 2013 is caused by structural changes in the coal industry of Don, fall of demand at the coal market because of the world crisis and growing competition between coal-producing and processing companies”.
