"Rosneft" can postpone the construction of the LNG plant in Sakhalin

"Rosneft" might postpone building a plant for liquefying natural gas (LNG) in Sakhalin in partnership with the American ExxonMobil for a few years, after Western sanctions had cut off the company from financial markets and LNG prices had collapsed by more than half, two sources informed Reuters.

It should be noted that the suspension of the construction of an LNG plant in Sakhalin in cooperation with Exxon will be the second in a row of deferred projects of "Rosneft", which postponed drilling on the Arctic shelf.
