Reduction of EP KMG’s dividends can lead to buyback of shares by KMG

Dividends on shares of Exploration Production KazMunaiGas by results of its operations in 2014 may exceed 2 thousand tenge per share.

"There are two scenarios. Under the baseline scenario, the amount of payments won’t be below the range of 2000 – 2200 tenges. Special dividend is also possible. However, given the sharp drop in profits at the expense of non-cash transactions, the second scenario assumes low dividends. If the dividend is low, the repurchase of shares by KazMunaiGas may be declared, - said the director of research investment company Asyl-Invest Ivar Baykenov.
