The EU may freeze construction of South Stream

The European Union is close to freezing the plans on the construction of the South Stream gas pipeline costing $50 billion through the Black Sea from Russia.

This decision can become the first serious sanction against Russia.

This information appeared due toan information leake after the meeting of the EC’s Chairman, José Barroso with Bulgarian politicians.
