Kazakhstan to increase oil extraction to 120 million tons for 7 years

Kazakhstan will increase oil extraction to 120 million tons by 2020 due to the development of Kashagan deposit, Kazakh PM Serik Akhmetov said.

In 2012 Kazakhstan extracted 79.211 million tons of oil, including gas condensate. This makes up by 1.1% less than within the same period of 2011. “This year we launch large Kashagan project and expand Tengiz deposit. Thus, by 2020 our oil extraction will make up 120 million tons”, Serik Akhmetov specified.
