In Jan-November the Ukraine increased scrap metal export to 1.175 mln tons

​In Jan-November 2015 the Ukrainian enterprises increased the export of ferrous scrap metal by 40.4% or 43% against the same period 2014.

The export rose to 1 mln 175.261 thousand tons (in Jan-November 2014, 837.141 thousand tons were exported according to the Customs service, 822.142 thousand tons according to the State statistics).

According to the customs statistics, the export of scrap metal in monetary form rose by 5.8-7.9% to $280.760 mln ($265.442 mln or $260.171 mln respectively).

In Jan-November 2015 the Ukraine reduced the import of scrap metal in natural terms by 91.8% against Jan-November 2014 to 2.287 thousand tons (in Jan-November 2014-27.889 thousand tons). In monetary form the import fell by 83.7% to $2.394 mln.

The import was mainly held from Turkey (93.44% in monetary form) and Moldavia (3.68%), export- to Turkey (78.12%) and Moldavia (19.53%).

In 2014 the Ukraine exported 936.937 thousand tons of ferrous scrap metal for $295.191 mln, while in 2013-255.272 thousand tons for 479.648 mln.
