A new site of waste processing has been launched at Seversky pipe plant

At the Seversky pipe plant, that is in the structure of the Pipe Metallurgical company (TMK), a new site for waste processing has been put into operation.
The site was opened by “Agrotsvet plus” OOO – an enterprise formed as a result of restructuring of the Seversky pipe plant. Up to 50 dump cars unload industrial and construction wastes from the shops of the plant. Up to 400 cubic meters of plastic containers for raw materials and materials used in the production process are added there. At the site waste is separated and prepared for their further processing.
The containers, that have lost their performance properties, are pressed with the help of a special press and packed in cube-packs to be shipped for processing. The secondary application has the larger part of waste from the shops of the Seversky pipe plant: timber, used firebrick, plastic, paper, cardboard.
According to the specialists of the enterprise, only due to the sorting and processing of soft containers and plastic bags it was possible to reduce the area meant for hard wastes by 14,000, and today it is 26,000 cubic meters.
The Seversky pipe plant gradually reduces the negative influence for ecology, the managing director of the Seversky pipe plant, M. Zuev said. Implementing new technologies, the enterprise in 2011 reduced by 2.7 times the pollutant emissions from steel making production into the atmosphere, due to the recycling the water supply per million cubic meters it reduced water consumption. 95% of the total volume of hard wastes is processed. The new production is another step in the realization of the nature preserving program of the plant. The launch of the new site of processing will allow to make our city and the environment much cleaner.
