Yatsenyuk opposes the law on rental payment reduction for gas producers

​The approved in the first reading draft law #2835 on the reduction of rental payment for gas extraction lobbies the interests of gas oligarchs and is the direct strike upon poor citizens as it breaks up the system of subsidies, PM of the Ukraine A. Yatsenyuk said.

3.3 mln households have already been issued subsidies. Moreover, there is a daily tendency to the growth of number of people who realize that the Government really grants subsidies, really compensates the growth of tariffs.

However, a serious problem arose just now – the Parliament voted for the draft law on the reduction of rental payment for gas, not the draft law submitted by the Government but the one that lobbies the interests of gas oligarchs, PM said.

Yatsenyuk added that according to the accepted as the basis of the project law the Parliament suggests reducing the rental payment for the enterprises with the so-called joint activity from 70% to a bit over than 20%.
