Metal splashing has led to deaths at ferroalloys plant near Obninsk

​The Investigation bodies of the Kaluga region hold the investigation upon the fact of burns at the “Ferolux-rus” enterprise as a result of which one employee is dead.

By the preliminary data, on October 6th 2015 at 10.30 a.m. at the enterprise located in the Verkhovie village of the Zhukovsky district (3 km off Obninsk) as a result of metal splashing out of the furnace, the engineer-electrician of the enterprise had fatal burns as well as 3 workers, 2 of which have 90% of burns.

One of them has died, another one is still alive.

The main activity of Ferolux-rus is the production of ferroalloys (excluding blast furnace alloys).
