MDM Bank gets rid of Igor Zyuzin’s debts

After a sharp drop in the capitalization of Mechel at the end of September, a margin call of the main owner of the company Igor Zyuzin on a loan from MDM Bank, secured with 15% of the Mechel’s shares, took place. According to the Kommersant’s information, the parties couldn’t agree on additional security, and the bank put up the debt for sale and has formally removed it from its balance sheet. According to the Kommersant’s sources, as Zyuzin himself, as well as outside investors can redeem the debt, but analysts doubt that 15% of Mechel will be interesting for someone else, except the principal shareholder.
