Gazprom is ready to increase gas supplies to China to 100 billion cubic meters per year in the near future, chairman of the company's board Alexei Miller said at the plenary meeting of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum today.
"We as Gazprom entered the market recently, we concluded a very lucrative contract, on which we’ll earn $400 billion over 30 years. Actually it is just the beginning. If to comment on the prospects for the supplies to the Chinese market, they are huge. Our supplies can grow up to 60 and even up to 100 billion cubic meters of gas per year in the short term,"- said Miller.
