The Vologda region and Gazprom can build LNG complex for 3 billion rubles

The Government of the Vologda region have elaborated their large industrial plan. The regional authorities are going to build own LNG mini-plant. The enterprise will produce 100% liquefied methane for economic and public needs. The preliminary capacity should be not less than 6 tons per hour. Expenses into the project will be 3 billion rubles.

In order to reduce the production expenses, they have decided to build the plant nearby the natural gas source. They chose for that a branch in the Vologda region near the compressor station of Nyuksenitsy. Construction will be executed with support and agreement of Gazprom. They hold negotiations now.

The Vologda region is represented by the acting Governor O. Kuvshinnikov. In his opinion, by the end of the year, the negotiations with Gazprom should be finished and the work should start. Our own gas stability will release the region. It’s going to gasify all remote settlements and supply gas to the largest enterprises FasAgro, and Severstal.
