Mozyr oil-refining plant puts into operation an oil residue VDU for 3 million tons

The Mozyr oil-refining plant (the Gomel Region, Belarus) has into operation an oil residue VDU for 3 million tons at the amount of $90 million, a source in the administration of the plant reported.

“This unit allows the plant to produce hydrotreated vacuum gasoil – the raw material for a FCC unit, i.e. for making of light oil products. Thus, the plant can process almost all oil residue in order to obtain readily marketable products of a higher quality. The plant will obtain only 7% of oil residue instead of 30%. The depth of oil processing will increase by appr. by 4%”, the source said.
