Kazakhstan to reduce import of railway batches of A-92 gasoline from Russia

Kazakhstan will reduce the import of Russian fuel to reduce counter oil delivery, OilNews.com.ua reports.

The limitation of import will also help to reduce excessive reserves at oil-refining plants and oil bases in condition of prohibition on export of light oil products from the country.

In May,the Kazakh government prohibited import of railway batches of Russian gasoline due to overstocking at the local oil-refining plants and set quotas for Kazmunaigas Onimderi, Petrosun and Petroleum Operating for the import of 537 thousand tons of the product in July-December. However, in July there have been no deliveries in the framework of the quotas due to the prolonged coordination of the purchase procedures with the Ministry for Oil and Gas. In spring the largest oil-refining plant of the republic, the Pavlodar plant of Kazmunaigas had to stop its FCC unit and reduce the oil-refining plan from 5.2 to 4.8 million tons in 2013.
