Oil extraction in Yugra made up 99.322 mln tons in January-May 2016

​In May 2016 oil extraction at the deposits in Yugra made up 20.255 mln tons. The growth per month amounted to 0.680 mln tons of oil, in April the extraction made up 19.575 mln tons.

In January-May 2016 the extraction made up 99.322 mln tons, in January-May 2015 – 101.301 mln tons. So there is a 1.979 mln tons fall this year.

The daily average extraction in May 2016 at the deposits in Yugra made up 653.4 thousand tons of oil.

According to the forecast of oil extraction until 2030, at the optimistic scenario the extraction in 2016 could be 270 mln tons, by the most probable scenario – 240 mln tons. In fact in 2015, 243.1 mln tons of oil were produced in the region. The forecast of extraction in 2016 is 237.0 mln tons of oil with gas condensate.

The oil extraction fall in 2016 in Yugra is due to the natural factors: late stage of development of the majority of deposits, exhaustion and watering of reserves.
