Rosneft starts geological exploration at the South-Chernomorky site on shelf of the Black Sea

Rosneft gas started to fulfill a series of 3D seismic surveys, gravimetric and magnetometric studies of the South-Chernomorky licensed site in the Russian sector of the Black Sea.
The volume of 3D seismic exploration will be more than 3 square km, the works will last until the autumn.
In addition to the geophysical studies, areal bathymetric survey of the seabed with multibeam echosounder to clarify and explore sea-floor relief will be organized.
The modern research vessel Polar Marquis will be involved in the works.
