Naftogas to purchase gas on the account of loans issued by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and World Bank

​Naftogas hopes to buy gas on the account of the revolving loan issued by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Q3 2016, the head of Naftogas, A. Kobolev, said.

He said that he expects the growth of competition between the suppliers against 2015 when 11 companies were accredited.

We expect the pool of companies to increase. I think there will be about 15 of them. I think the competition this year will be higher as we have proved we are a high-quality contractor – we work by rules, we pay in time, we execute the undertaken obligations, he said.

Mr. Kobolev said that Naftogas goes on negotiations on the opportunity of attraction of a loan or credit guarantees of the World Bank for up to $500 mln for gas purchase in the coming heating season.

We have been working on the issue of this loan for more than a year and the work is harder than that compared with the loan of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

He confirmed that the funds of the World Bank can also be directed for the purchase of gas from Gazprom if the latter offers lower price than from Europe.
