The Nord Stream-2 project will meet the most stringent requirements of the EU legislation in the field of environment and competition, it will allow the EU to fill the projected gap between energy needs and supply, the public relations director of the consortium Nord Stream-2 Ulrich Lissek assured.
"In this future project we will use, fulfill and surpass the high standards that were set for the Nord Stream-1 project - in terms of procurement, code of conduct and compliance with the rules," - said U.Lissek at the conference "Nord Stream-2: the EU Energy Union is at a crossroads" in the European Parliament on Wednesday.
