Russia is ready to discuss gas discounts and new loans for Greece

Today, the Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras will arrive in Moscow and will meet with President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday. The Greek Government stated to the Kommersant that it hoped to "achieve the beginning of a new spring in the relations between the EU and Russia", as well as to bring the bilateral cooperation to a new level. A source of the Kommersant in the Russian Government assured that Moscow was ready to consider the provision of discounts on gas and new loans for Athens, but it would expect "oncoming steps - particularly in terms of getting certain assets in Greece by Russia". The European Union is wary about the new policy of the Greeks, warning them against attempts to "destroy the European unity".

Greeks open a "new era"
