Rosatom hopes to sign agreement on construction of nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan in H1

Russian state-owned corporation Rosatom hopes to sign an agreement with Kazakhstan on construction of a nuclear power plant before the end the first half of the year.

"The agreement on the construction of the nuclear power plant will be signed. Many have dual attitude, but our experts, academic institutions made efforts at improving the safety of nuclear power industry... I think that in the first half of this year the agreement will be signed, "- said representative of Rosatom in Kazakhstan Vitaly Ryabov.

Today, he said, details of the agreement are worked out. "In order to make it easier to prepare contracts and start building, you need the basic agreement to be worked out in detail, so now matching is conducted. This process was delayed in Kazakhstan due to the reorganization of Ministries, new requirements, so now the issues are coordinated. We hope that everything will be decided soon, "- added Vitaly Ryabov.
