Rosnedra discovers reserves in the volume of 1 billion tons of oil equivalent

In 2013, Rosnedra has discovered the large Novotaimyr oil and gas bearing area with length of 250 km that is similar to the Balshekhet area, with which the group of Vankor fields is connected, the Department reported on results of collegiums meeting.

The recoverable reserves of the Novotaimyr oil and gas bearing area are estimated at 1 billion tons of oil equivalent.

In 2013, geological exploration was carried out at 13 projects in Western Siberia on account of the federal budget; works at 3 projects were completed.
