The Government of Russia discusses the new benefits for Boguchany GES

The Government of Russia discusses the new benefits for the Boguchany GES that will enable the power stations to incease their revenue. The owners of GES RusHydro and UC Rusal need the additional funds to pay off the credit to VEB. The Government of Russia can enable Boguchany GES to increase its revenue via a reduction of the share of the capacity and electricity that all power stations with exception for those built under the contract for capacity provision should sell at a discounted price for supplies to the public. RusHydro and UC Rusal have appealed with such a request to the federal agencies, and now the idea is discussed within liberalization of the GES capacity market in Siberia. They presuppose that the share of the regulated agreements for Boguchany GES will be reduced to 5% from 13% on average for the Siberian power stations.
