“Agip KCO N.V.” and “NCOC” might be fined 134.2 bln tenge for an accident at Kashagan

Agip KCO and NCOC were given an order to compensate damages, done to the atmosphere due to acid gas incineration at flare devices of the processing complexes. The damage was done at 134.2 billion tenge, the press-service of the Ministry for Environment and Water Management stated.
There happened hydrogen sulphide leak close to the ground gas pipeline Kashagan-Bolashak on September 24, 2013. Consequently, the residual gas was sent and burnt at flare facilities of the onshore and offshore complexes of the deposit Kashagan.
