Only 3 Ukrainian metal enterprises reduced steel smelting in January – February 2013

In January – February 2013, the Ukrainian metal enterprises increased production of steel by 3.1% to 5.446 million tons, and cast iron by 2.4% to 4.758 million tons.

In February, steel smelting was 2.601 million tons, by 8.6% less than in January 2013, and  by 5.6% more than in February 2012.

The average daily steel smelting increased in the Ukraine. In February it was 93,000 tons compared to 92,000 tons in January.
