NLMK group to increase zinced rolled products output by 11% in 2016

​NLMK group has started the modernization of the continuous hot zincing unit #1 at the site in Lipetsk.

The project will allow to increase the productivity of the continuous hot zincing unit #1 by 30% to 500 thousand tons a year and grow the capacities of the Lipetsk site in the output of zinced rolled products for the construction sector, car manufacturing and household appliances by 1.25 mln tons.

As a result NLMK will strengthen its positions in the market of rolled products with high added value, the demand for which exceeds the capacities of the Russian producers and is covered by means of imports, including from far-abroad countries.

To smooth the influence of the reconstruction on the market, NLMK has formed reserve stocks of zinced rolled products for its key consumers in the car manufacturing and household appliances sectors. The reduction of rolled products output with coating is planned to be covered by the growth of shipment of cold rolled products.
