Belorusneft prepares the second well to produce oil from low-permeable reservoirs

Belorusneft has managed to get the second well to produce oil from the low-permeable reservoirs.

On the recommendation of specialists of the BelNIPIneft’s geological exploration service, another horizontal well - №204g - was drilled at the Rechitsa field. It opened up 810 meters of oil-saturated reservoirs. Definitive conclusions about the prospect of the project can be made after a multi-stage hydraulic fracturing and a set of development activities.

In early October 2014, the well №310g Rechitskaya in low-permeability reservoirs of the Petrykov horizon gave a commercial oil flow with yield of 20 tons per day. Commercial oil production from low-permeability reservoirs is produced for the first time in the history of the oil industry of Belarus.
