Gazprom’s subsidiary pays $1.8 million to Naftogas Ukrainy for late gas payments

Russian Gazprom’s subsidiary Gazprom sbyt Ukraina has fulfilled obligations on payment of a penalty in the amount of 14.287 million hryvnias ($1.786 million) to the company Naftogas Ukrainy for late gas payments, the Kiev commercial court reports in the unified national register of the country’s judgments.

In early July of the current year, the court started proceedings on Naftogas’ suit on exaction of this amount from the Gazprom’s subsidiary as a penalty and financial sanctions “for late fulfillment of obligations on payment for natural gas, supplied in January, 2011 – January, 2013” under gas contract dated February 11, 2009.
