Development of oil and gas shelf starts in the Magadan Region

The Acting Governor of the Magadan Region, Vladimir Pecheny visited Orient Explorer vessel dealing with the exploration of Magadan-2 shelf sector, the press service of the Governor reported.
The licenses for geological exploration of Magadan-1, Magadan-2 and Magadan-3 belong to Rosneft Plc. The total area of the three sectors makes up about 47 thousand sq. km. The project is evaluated in 416.5 billion RUR. The preliminary resource potential of the sectors makes up 2.6 billion tons. The depth of the sea makes up 50-300 metres.
