Gazprom and BASF are confident about the launch of the "Nord Stream-2" gas pipeline at the end of 2019.

The leaders of the German concern BASF, a leading world manufacturer of petrochemicals, and Gazprom, the Russian energy giant, discussed the issues of cooperation in the field of transportation of gas from Russia to Germany, focusing on the "North Stream – 2" project, the report of the Russian gas company informs.

Thus, CEO Gazprom Aleksey Miller and CEO BASF SE Kurt Bock during a working meeting stated that the project was being implemented according to schedule, and expressed confidence that the pipeline would be commissioned before the end of 2019, the report informs.
