Gas supply to the Trans-Baikal region to provide annual demand for 6 bln cubic meters of gas

Organization of gas supply in the Trans-Baikal region via the Power of Siberia pipeline will provide the potential demand of 6 billion cubic meters of gas per year, the Acting Minister of Natural Resources and Industrial Policy of the region Oleg Polyakov said today.

"The main gas pipeline will bring large volumes of gas at reasonable prices to the Trans-Baikal region. It will provide the potential gas demand in the region of up to 6 billion cubic meters per year, will increase the competitiveness of industrial enterprises and create conditions for the development of new projects, including the production of fertilizers for agriculture and materials for advanced processing of timber, "- said Polyakov.
